Town Government
The Town of Bow Mar is governed by a Mayor and Board of Trustees. The trustees and the mayor are elected every two years. The next election will be in 2024.
The Board of Trustees meets monthly. Meeting announcements with agendas are posted on the Home page of this website and on the Trustee Meetings page. All residents are welcome at these monthly meetings, and citizens comments are welcome. The Board also encourages residents to participate in the government through comments, special boards and committees.
The Town has a Design Review Board (DRB) that oversees and reviews applications for new construction, home improvements and landscaping. The DRB has 7 members, each appointed by the Board of Trustees for two-year terms. Meetings of the Board are posted on the Home page and on the Design Review Board page.

The Town of Bow Mar also has a Board of Adjustment that handles variance requests regarding building property renovations in the Town.
The Board of Adjustment has 5 members, each appointed by the Board of Trustees for two-year terms. Meetings of the Board of Adjustments are posted on the Home page and on the Board of Adjustment page.
